Live Oak made the winning bid for a dark bay son of Smart Strike who is a full brother to 2-year-old champion My Miss Aurelia at the March 4 Fasig-Tipton Florida Select 2-year-old sale.
Consigned by Secure Investments. hip No. 55 is out of My Miss Storm Cat, who herself was a stakes winner of $190,026. My Miss Aurelia, who earned her championship honors in 2011, reeled off victories the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), Frizette S. (G1), and Adirondack S. (G2) during that season. She went on to earn over $2.5 million in her career.
