Live Oak Plantation’s homebred Victory to Victory took home 2-year-old Champion Filly of 2016 at The Jockey Club of Canada’s 42nd Annual Sovereign Awards April 14 in Toronto, Ontario.
The daughter of Exchange Rate – Points of Grace was at her best in the Natalma S. (G1), Canada’s premier 2-year-old filly event, winning by 2 1/2-lengths despite a wide trip in a 14-horse field. In three starts last year, Victory to Victory earned $127,468.
Points of Grace tasted plenty of success in Canada in her own right, winning the Dance Smartly S. (G2) and River Memories S. and earning more than a half-million dollars, while also be named the 2009 Champion Turf Female Sovereign Award winner.
Victory to Victory was given a break following her Natalma win in late September, but has been training regularly since early February, including a pair of bullet works this month a Churchill Downs for trainer Mark Casse.
