Win Win Win became Live Oak Plantation's newest Grade 1 winner on Saturday at Saratoga with one of the most incredible stretch runs to take the Forego S. (G1) by a half-length in a driving rainstorm.

With Javier Castellano in the irons, Win Win Win dropped some 18 lengths off the early pace as he trailed the field of 11 through a half-mile in :44.63. The 4-year-old colt began to make up ground on the turn, but had to go about eight-wide coming into the stretch. Still about six lengths from the front with a furlong to run, Win Win Win was in full flight on the outside and came rolling to hit the wire in 1:21.71 for the seven furlongs on a very sloppy track.

"What an amazing horse,” said Castellano. “I'm truly honored to ride the horse and very blessed with the way everything went. He was very far back and made a huge run to win the race. Not too many horses can do that. He did it and in a nice way.”

Trainer Michael Trombetta was equally amazed.

"I honestly don't know what to say,” said Trombetta. “He dropped so far back and his chicklet and number actually went off the screen and I couldn't even see across the track. I thought he was absolutely out of the race and might not have had a chance to even finish. But then turning for home, he came back on the screen. It's just unbelievable. He's truly a good horse and deserves this.”

Win Win Win had a pair of listed wins to his credit before Saturday, as well as placing in both the Tampa Bay Derby (G2) and Blue Grass S. (G2) in 2019. His overall record now stands at 5-3-1 from 12 starts, with earnings of $601,600.

The homebred dark bay is by Hat Trick (JPN) and out of Miss Smarty Pants, a half-sister to graded winner Unbridled Humor and from the same family as Grade 1 winner Ops Smile.
